Wild Deer Events hosted the Falkirk Trail Runs for the first time last Saturday. The 5k, 10k and half marathon routes around the beautiful grounds of Callendar house were a great hit with runners and supporters alike. Circling the grand historic house before heading through the woods to amazing panoramic views of the gounds. The 19th Century house steeped in history and a medieval turret provide the perfect base for these trail runs. On returning through the woods the runners pass the scenic Callendar Lake before finishing in front of the house.
Plans will be in place soon to run this event next year, most likely a similar date giving you time to train. Keep an eye on Wild Deer Events website for details of this and other runs and mixed sports events they host.
