Saturday 18th July saw Beyond Trails Uk host the Manchester Ultra Runs. The Beyond Manchester Ultra Runs start and finish at Cathedral Square in the heart of the city. Leaving the heart of Manchester’s industrial heritage, the route ventures through Salford Quays, passing MediaCityUK, the Imperial War Museum North, and Old Trafford. It then transfers to the Bridgewater Canal, heading past Eccles to meet the disused railway lines leading north toward Bolton and Bury. The course features a spectacular ~10km stretch along the Irwell Sculpture Trail, offering elevated views of the valley, before taking green corridors back down into the city center past historic law courts and cathedrals
Plans will be in place soon to run this event next year, most likely a similar date giving you time to train. Keep an eye on Wild Deer Events website for details of this and other runs and mixed sports events they host.

BeyondTrails UK host Ultras around the Country in Cities like Newcastle, London and Bristol to name a few. Currently offering options of 25km and 55km. Routes usually take you from the City Centre into the beautiful countryside which surrounds it.
